Wood biomass includes forestry residues, by-products from industrial wood processing and chemically untreated wood. Forestry residues include branches, crowns, small-diameter tree trunks and less qualitative timber that is not suitable for further industrial processing. These remnants result from regular felling, nurturing of young forests and sanitation. By-products arise from primary and secondary industrial wood processing (sawdust, slabs, bark, dust, etc.). Chemically untreated wood comprises products from chemical activities in orchards and vineyards and discarded wood and its products (crates, pallets, etc.). |
